Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Mexican Ambassador to Paraguay, Juan Manuel Nungaray, and the General Director of the Latin American Institute of Educational Communication (ILCE), Salvador Percastre-Mendizábal, visited the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC).
Their purpose was to propose a partnership that would not only offer spaces for the dissemination of Paraguayan culture and tradition in Latin American countries but also foster a strong bond between the two nations.
The aim of this collaboration is to broadcast a diverse range of educational programs. These programs will cover a wide spectrum of topics, including science, technology, communication, culture, education, heritage, tradition, and language.
The international institute, based in the Mexican Capital, will use its two channels to broadcast this content in Latin America. Additionally, a radio station with continental transmission and social networks will be utilized to reach a wider audience. Our country’s state media will also benefit from this initiative.
«We want to spread Paraguayan culture more, and for there to be more Paraguay in Mexico and Latin America, so that Paraguayan public television programs can be present in the channels programming of the ILCE throughout the Mexican territory and in the other countries of the region,» said Percastre-Mendizábal after the meeting with the General Director of Strategic Communication of MITIC, César Palacios.
The ILCE is an international and intergovernmental organization based in Mexico City, founded by the mandate of UNESCO, which is at the service of Latin America and the Caribbean in developing education and culture through communication and technology. Paraguay is a member of the ILCE.
The propose to take more of Paraguay’s culture into Mexico
Ambassador Nungaray expressed the shared vision of Paraguay and Mexico, which is to strengthen the cultural exchange between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of this exchange in various fields, including education, science, innovation, and gastronomy.
The Ambassador also highlighted the significance of the partnership in the dissemination of content produced through Paraguay TV, which will be retransmitted throughout Mexico and other Latin American countries.
«Our motto is to bring more Mexico to Paraguay and bring more Paraguay to Mexico so that they get to know each other better and more, so, from the embassy, we see with great satisfaction the visit and the contacts we are having with you, we are going to work, and know that you have all our support and enthusiasm,» he stressed.
Throughout Mexico, it is broadcast on an open signal through the educational communication channel and retransmitted via satellite to other countries on the continent, so the proposal is to broadcast the content produced by our country’s television through Paraguay TV.
